Then I would like a little feedback from you. Below is a video I took of my playable 3D model of the U-Drift course. I made it mostly from memory, and with the few pictures I could find so it probably isn't perfect, but that's why I'm asking you to lemme know whatcha think! I hope no one is upset I did this lol. I just wanted to be able to get a little sim practice when I can't actually be at the track. Anyway enough blabbering, here's the vid:

How close to real life is the layout? Obviously the textures and background and scenery isn't anywhere near accurate, but right now I'm just trying to get the actual layout perfect. If anyone has any pictures of the place, any videos especially incar that would be very helpful.
Any feedback/input from anyone that's been, and preferably driven would be most appreciated :D
That's just about dead on. The actual course is a bit tighter after the sweeper, especially around the last two barrels. That looks great, though! What did you use to make that and can you play it like a video game? For some actual footage, talk to Dave (the fog machine) Adams. He was riding with his camera last night.

Actually, that camera kept crapping out. I don't think it was the batteries, I think it was the camera itself . . .we'll get some on-board footage next time around and make sure that we get various angles that way you can tell exactly how each turn is laid out :)

I'll make sure to tweak it out perfectly when I get some good pics. I used a really simple track building program called Bob's Track Builder to make it, and yes you can play it in a racing sim called rFactor. http://www.rfactor.net/
If you watch that video, click on my youtube username and there's another video or two of some rFactor drifting. If anyone wants to see more just let me know and I'll gather some up :D
It's a really realistic game with tons of cars and tracks for download so if you're into hardcore sims I recommend the game. You'll need a good PC steering wheel though ;)
Anyway, thanks for the input, and hopefully I can get this looking really accurate.

Yeah I modeled it to be accurate as of yesterdays exhibition :D
When would be a good time for you for me to come grab a few videos and pictures Chris? Also, I wouldn't mind checking to see if my car is within the limitations because I think I'm going to have to do something with the exhaust before I'll be able to drift there lol
I added some trees along two sides just for beauty's sake, but mainly I focused on fine tuning the physical layout of the course. And now, I think it's pretty freaking spot on. But, that's where you guys come in :D here's another video, and in a slower car too! (the first vid was in a 528HP D1GP spec R34, this one is a 175HP "Tsuchiya" style AE86)
YouTube is misbehaving so for now this is the only video link I have for you, bit it works fine: http://www.xfire.com/video/18b0ed/
Oh one thing, I managed to model "the dip" coming out of the sweeper and stuff, but I did that right after taking this video so you'll have to wait until the next update to see it :D
So once again, thoughts, feedback, input, and anything you'd like to add to this discussion is all welcomed by me :)
I had rough figures and scaled it pretty well. I'm very confident that as it stands now it's about as accurate and anyone can get it without just lidar scanning the place lol.
All that's left now is to make it pretty by adding buildings and scenery and the such. I'll keep updates coming through this thread
